Stools
I have found that Bentonite Clay stops
diarrhea/loose stools on a dime.  Much much better
than Pepto Bismol or Kaopectate, which is what the
vets always tell you to use. Neither one of those
products ever worked for me.

This story is kind of funny.  We have 2 vets we use
when we need to.  They are both great guys and
oftentimes can give you pretty good advice.  One
insists you use Pepto Bismol and the other says
Kaopectate.  They are very insistent about
their
choice. The vet I was seeing one time, was very
insistent about me not using Pepto Bismol.  It
had to
be Kaopectate.  His reasoning sounded pretty good
to me.  I couldn't find the plain version anywhere;
only mint flavored.  I didn't want that because I
didn't want the mint for a sensitive tummy.  Finally,
at the last store, I started reading the ingredients
of Pepto and Kaopectate and realized they are
exactly the same!  I laughed so hard.  They meant
well.
I always have  Bentonite Clay on hand.

For my puppies who are 5 lbs and under, I
give 1/4 teaspoon one time and if that
doesn't do the trick,  I do another 1/4
teaspoon.
For heavier puppies,  I just increase it.

I use it at least one time a week just to keep
my pets healthy.

I think Bentonite Clay is amazing and I would
never be without it.

For centuries Native American healers used clay internally and externally in the
treatment of a variety of illnesses. In years past sailing vessels departing from
France were known to store clay on board for the treatment of dysentery as
well as other ailments. Animals, domestic and wild alike, instinctually drawn to
clay deposits have been observed licking the clay as part of their everyday diet,
and rolling in it to obtain relief from injuries.   Dr. Simon Cohen, N.D.
"Its power as a detoxifying substance comes
from its inherent ability to adsorb and absorb.
Its unique ability to grow and change (adsorb) is
the reason for its classification and recognition
as a "Living Clay".  Dr Simon Cohen
Hydro-thermal exposures over long periods of time affect the clay in
two important aspects; it becomes negatively charged and crystallized.
As a result of the crystallization process the clay is reduced into small
particles that make it easy for the body to assimilate. The negative
charges on the clay give it the ability to adsorb or attract positively
charged toxic matter, which is then absorbed into the clay and
dispelled from the body as waste.  Dr Simon Cohen
Canned pumpkin is great
for stools too.  It is for
both, constipation and
diarrhea.  They love it too!
