Dog Food Controversy

Lately, I have been hearing about a dog food controversy about whether or not dogs need to be eating grains. This controversy goes on for people too by the way. How do I know what I should really be feeding my dogs for optimal health or feeding my family? I don’t know. No one knows for sure. There’s low carb, low calorie, high fat, low fat, no grains, heavy amounts of meat, small amounts of meat… I follow a diet that I feel best on.

My son, who is autistic, is doing a new diet, similar to his old diet that he was on strictly for almost 3 years. He seems to be doing better on the newer diet, so I am assuming that the newer diet is the one that is best for him. I have to use my eyes to see what is best for him, no matter what anyones opinion about which diet is best for these children or what the latest research shows.

So with my dogs who are thriving and are healthy, why should I change their food? What if the little bit of grain that is in their food is not good for them? What if it is good for them? How do I know? I really don’t know. I can see they have good health though. Which oil is best to supplement them with? I could go on and on here… I have to go by what I observe and for now, I see happy, healthy dogs, so I am sticking with Life’s Abundance, this is the dog food I have been using for many years. I think a lot of things are just about common sense, if something works so well, why change it.

It is the same with all the products I use for my puppies, they are working so why stop giving them a certain supplement? Maybe one of the products I use isn’t really doing as much as another but how would I know? I wouldn’t, so I keep them on all of the products. They are working and my puppies are extremely healthy!

I spent many many years researching and trying new dog foods, trying different supplements and I have a really good combination of things working for me right now, so why change anything?
